Tori,
You've been my strength these past few years.
Without your company it would have been hard to face my fears.
You living in darkness, as you couldn't see,
But right by my side that's where you would always be.
We've had some rough roads we had to go down,
But you never gave a whimper or a disheartening frown.
Closed in a room we lived for a year,
But we supported each other, that was clear.
I don't know how to thank you my dear little friend,
But we all know that sometime it has to come to an end.
You started showing signs you were wearing down,
No longer did you bark, you hardly made a sound.
It's a hard thing deciding just when to say good-bye,
Not an easy decision to make, that's why people cry.
I will do my best to let you go on your way
But know this my friend I will think of you every day.
I say good-bye with a heart so full of pain.
I will wish you rainbows whenever there's rain.
God will look after you and so you don't have to fret,
Going to doggy heaven is good as it can get.
